London Welsh Rugby Club Choir performed last night at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds, whilst it was snowing, for the Suffolk West Federation of WIs "The Sound of Wales in Suffolk". With Michael Wyn Jones acting as both Music Director and Compere, the night featured The London Welsh Rugby Club Choir returning to Suffolk to entertain with a variety of songs, from popular tracks to traditional Welsh melodies.
The Choir were in fine voice, accompanied by Jonathon Jarvis and the featured soloist was Melanie Cotton, soprano. The performance went well and continued afterwards in The Apex bar, with the choristers performing a number of songs, not in the concert repertoire, much to the delight of the audience who had stayed - even though the snow was falling. Everybody enjoyed themselves and there was even an impromptu performance in the hotel bar, where the choir were staying, to entertain the residents and party goers! Many thanks to the Suffolk West Federation of WIs!
